This module served as the foundation for my MSc Cybersecurity journey. It introduced the University of Essex Online environment, learning tools, academic integrity principles, and essential study skills required for postgraduate success.
Module Aims
- Provide an introduction to the University of Essex Online (UoEO) platform, Moodle VLE, and library resources.
- Familiarise students with the Study Skills Hub and effective online learning practices.
- Introduce reflective learning, critical thinking, and academic integrity.
- Refresh knowledge of referencing, plagiarism prevention, and academic writing.
- Develop skills necessary for future modules, including research and report writing.
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrated technical and personal requirements for online learning.
- Gained proficiency with tools and resources available to online learners.
